This feature enables users to add patient's information by scanning driving license and insurance card. The configuration for the card scanning feature can be done from this place. Once you get the MedicScan application installed in your system, you can configure the access key from the Card Scanner Settings section.

 

This feature is based on configuration. You must enable ID card scanning feature to use this functionality. To enable this feature, please contact InSync EMR support at 844-930-0532 or e-mail at support@insynchcs.com.

 

Note: This section is available only for those users who are using Web Service based ID card scanning feature.

 

To register the access key:

1.In the Windows system tray at the bottom right corner of the screen, right click the clip0215 icon.
2.Select Access Key. A new pop up is displayed with Access key.
3.To copy the access key to the clipboard, click Copy.
4.In the Card Scanner Settings section on the Practice Defaults screen, enter the access key and select the user from the drop down list.
5.Click Save. The scanner is now successfully configured for the selected user.
