Scanning Cards Using Medicscan Connect

InSync uses a third party tool, MedicScan Connect for ID card scanning functionality. This supports all the new Internet Explorer browsers including Internet Explorer 9 and above (IE 10.0, 11.0, Edge, and so forth).

 

To import patient information by scanning ID cards:

1.Open the MedicScan application in your system.
2.Do the following:
•To scan the driving license, click Driver’s License.
•To scan the insurance card, click Insurance Card.
3.Once you completed scanning both the sides of card, system displays notification at the bottom right corner of the screen.
4.On the Patient Information screen, click the scanner Scanner icon to import the information captured by scanner.

 Note: You must click the scanner icon in InSync within 6 minutes of scanning is completed in MedicScan.
