The Unapplied Credit Report provides a quick overview on the current patient and insurance unapplied credit for fast reconciliation. This report helps users who are looking to find all the unapplied credits (patient and insurance) and work over them. The transactions made for transferring unapplied credits can be found on the Unapplied Credit Report.
On the Unapplied Credit Report screen, the user can select from the following report filters:
1. | In the date of section, select from the 3 options: Posted, Received, or Transfer. |
2. | Select the payment posting period in the Date From and Date To fields. |
3. | Select the Facility to include by using the drop-down menu. |
4. | Select the Provider to include by using the drop-down menu. |
5. | Select the payment posted user by using the drop-down menu. |
6. | Start typing the Patient Name in the field below and select an individual patient from the Smart Search list. |
| Note: This allows the user to see all unapplied credits for that patient. |
7. | Hover the mouse pointer over the Patient Category drop-down to view the list of categories. Select one or more patient categories (e.g., Bankruptcy, BCBS, Collections, Medicaid) from the drop-down list. |
8. | Select Insurance unapplied or Patient unapplied option from the Payment Type drop-down list. By default, the report will generate for both the payment types. |
9. | Select the appropriate option to sort the report in ascending or descending order of current balance of patient and insurance. To sort the report by patient name, select Patient Name. |
10. | Click the Generate Report button or Export to Excel button. |
